State Disaster Management Plan (September 2016) (PDF 2.4MB)

The Interim Queensland Recovery Plan has been approved by the Queensland Disaster Management Committee. It sets out governance, planning and operational issues relating to disaster recovery.

The Recovery Plan recognises the need for flexibility and adaptability in recovery operations. It is the principal reference document when planning for and conducting recovery operations across the five functional areas of recovery: Human and Social; Economic: Environment; Roads and Transport; and Building. The Recovery Plan applies to Queensland Government agencies, and informs local governments, government-owned corporations, statutory bodies representing the state, non-government organisations and other disaster recovery stakeholders of the procedures and processed that will be employed by the state during recovery operations.

The Interim Queensland Recovery Plan will be reviewed to incorporate learnings following its implementation during the 2016-17 severe weather season, with the longer term Queensland Recovery Plan to be finalised by mid-2017.
