NDRRA Queensland Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (PDF: 1Mb)

This booklet provides an overview of financial arrangements for the activation and delivery of natural disaster relief and assistance within Queensland.

The text is presented by way of an executive summary followed by 7 Sections which, explain the formal disaster relief arrangements and assistance scheme guidelines:

Section 1 The Agencies responsible for administering Disaster Relief and associated Assistance Schemes, the functions they perform, where they are located and who to contact;

Section 2 Natural Disaster Financial Arrangements, the activation process and a summary of Natural Disaster Relief Measures;

Section 3 The formal guidelines (for Disaster Relief Measures) that have been pre-agreed with the Commonwealth Government; and

Sections 4-7 Administration instructions for the Natural Disaster Relief Measure Restoration of Public Assets. Includes generic administration instructions (Section 4) as well as instructions specifically for Local Governments (Section 5), River Improvement Trusts (Section 6) and Government Departments (Section 7).

Application documentation is available from the Agency responsible for each specific assistance measure.
